Sun Visor

Does anyone know where I can find a beige sun visor for kind of cheap? I know Motorsport has one for $155.00 but that is kind of steep for me.

Used parts

If you ever need any used parts check out www.car-part.com . You just put in the year, model, and what part. They're the only online used part search engine that I have found any SVX parts from. You might also want to post in the wanted/for sale forum, somebody might have one they are selling or you might find someone who is parting out a car.

is your nonexistant or just drooping?

vollyball19 07-16-2003 04:57 PM

It is dropping so bad that sometimes while i am driving it blocks my sight of view.

NikFu S. 07-16-2003 05:13 PM

ouch
thats pretty bad. mine drooped about 2 or 3 inches. i just put them forward when im not driving and they stay in place for a while when i put them back. you definitely need a new visor though...
your best bet is getting lucky on ebay. the only other option is the dealer who charges just as much if not more then motorsports. ah yes according to my part sheet sunvisors run between 130 and 150 depending on year, 6 years ago.

if it makes you feel any better my steering wheel has been popping up while driving. i usually have it all the way down.
then out of nowhere today ^crunk^, free wheel steering.
maybe i should keep my hands on the wheel. :\

Sunvisor Clamps

I have designed but not made up some aluminium sunvisor clamps to replace the stock plastic ones that screw into the roof. Think there is a market at $30. each?

NikFu S. 07-16-2003 06:05 PM

absolutely. at least a small one. im not too familiar with how they stick and why they droop but im sure a cure would be appreciated. after all its not really a svx specific problem. a friend and i had sagging visors in a 79 beemer. couldnt find a way to makem stick so he just removed them. he spent $1500 on a sound system so $30 to keep the phoenix sun out of ones eyes on the highway isnt too bad.
