'92 AWD Partout

We had really hoped to resurrect this one. But with 240k miles on it, and many years as a MN winter-only vehicle, the rust is nasty enough that a transmission rebuild is probably not worth it.

It appears to have the touring package.

Transmission is shot, engine/wiring/ecu/tcu are spoken for. Rear wiper didn't seem to work, but everything else does. Doors don't really have much rust on them, fenders do, but they're not dented.

Make an offer on anything else. I'd really rather not ship anything too big or fragile, but otherwise I can ship with USPS flat rate boxes or UPS. I frequently travel between here and the Minneapolis area, anything I can fit in or on my Celica I can transport a reasonable distance for gas money.

Too bad some of the stuff is so heavy, A local here in Conn. really could use the doors same color and everything. Are the hood struts holding that hood open? I could use them.

Well, if the stars align, and they haven't sold by then. There's some talk about running STPR (stage rally, I'm crew chief for a team) in June. That's in central PA. The doors could probably come with. But I would not have time to travel any further....

Now that I think about it, we did have to prop the hood open. So I'd say those are pretty much shot.

I should also mention that the driver's seat is pretty worn out cosmetically.

Would you post the VIN on that one so I can get it registered? Thanks :)

Correct you are Nate looked Bordeaux.
Now that I look again, he is better off with the ones from Dan . If he is going to have to paint anyway.Never mind...

I'd be interested in the security control module if it still works.

I noticed the light come on, but we don't have the remote. Next time I'm out there, I'll try to set it off....

Just an FYI. The car is out at a friend's shop, not at my home. I am usually out there about once a week. So I'll try to answer questions as best I can off the top of my head, and if there's interest in things, I'll pull them when I'm out there, and photograph very well before we finalize anything.

Just turn the security system on and push the drivers side lock down and shut the door. It'll arm the car in 20 seconds. Open the door with the key, and the alarm should go off soon after. :)

Yea, I saw that on cars101. Looks like I'll be out there on Friday, so I'll make sure to do that. Thanks!

Anything else to check before we start taking stuff apart?

I'd also be interested in the LH inner taillight if it doesn't have moisture in it.

Just got back from the shop. Pictures are uploading from my phone....

Could not get the security system to go off. Light comes on, tried a few different combinations of locking it with the key, or manually, holding the door handle while closing the door and not. Nothing happened. The car does have a remote start installed in it, so I wonder if it's disabled due to that....

Either way, I did not pull the control module this time (not even sure where it is).

Here's the VIN plate. Manufacture date was 01/92, if you were wondering

I'll be returning pms here in the next few minutes.

fzftw, when you say "inner" taillight....you mean this piece?

As that's pending sale to a member on USMB

Yep. :( If the deal falls through let me know.

Also thanks for checking but I bet the security module is dead on the car. Or maybe just disconnected because of the remote start. It's located behind the glovebox btw.

Sweet :) Keep an eye out for my SVX, I'll be out working either at a stage or at the Susquehanna Motorsports stand at the fairgrounds...

Anywho, enough of that. Shoot me a PM, I'd like to bounce a small list off of ya and get some prices :)

BUUUUMP. This is back on the front burner. Wanted to get it stripped before winter, so it was stripped last weekend. Parts are removed, and ready for resale. Let me know what you need!!
