ABS dash light + dead battery

Last night, my abs dash light come up but the abs system was still working (it was -26 farenheit outside). This morning my battery was dead, I didn't forget any lights inside. ( The car pass the night outside at -29 farenheit) I don't know if it is related or not, maybe the abs system was still working even if my car wasn't running and decharge the battery??? I boost it and it take many try before it started. The day before it was -22 farenheit and the car start at first try.

Any idea of what can have cause this?

There is a relay in the ABS control box that has been known to 'stick' on occasion. Could be the culprit if the source of switched power on that circuit is 'hot'.

Just a thought....

My abs dash light come up again this morning, when I stopped the car I opened the hood and the abs motor and/or module (whatever) was still running. I have to remove the abs fuse to shut it off. I put back the fuse in place and the abs motor and/or module (whatever) remain shut.

Bruno,
Sometimes just a tap on the box (with your finger or the end of a screwdriver) will stop the ABS motor from running, until you can get a new relay. The relay is easy to replace. One screw in the middle of the ABS box, pop off the box top, replace the relay -- there are two, and I can't remember which is the culprit, at the moment. Mark can probably help you with that.
