Misc. Ramblings

1) Last night ,when I left work, I I had to drive through about 1 1/2 feet of water on the road to the expressway ramp (Blue Route) thanks to the remnants of Jeanne. A large tow truck came the other way and the waves of muddy water rolled over my hood. I was surprised that SVXY got through it ok. It took an hour and a half to get home last night (33 mi.), with all the torrential rain and traffic accidents, but SVXY made it easily. I just love driving an SVX.

2) On a lighter note.......
There is a club in Wilmington, DE called 'Kahunaville'. It is down in the restored 'Riverfront' area. Every Sat. & Sun. they sponsor an auto show. It is for "Detroit Iron" & hot rods on the weekends. However, this Thurs. night is for Japanese cars. I washed and waxed SUBYDOO & PEARLY this past Sunday and Rosie & I will show them tomorrow night. I hope that any SVXers that live in the area will come.
The 'Riverfront' area is just off I-95 at the Maryland Ave. exit in Wilmington, DE.

It was raining pretty heavily here last night too. I was on my way home on the highway and everyone was driving extremley slow and some even pulled to the side of the road. I was cruising at 60 MPH....and there was 2 cars speeding behind me....I let those cars passed....turned out to be a legacy and an outback :D . Boy was i happy when i saw that :D

Misc. Ramblings Followup:

It was quite rainy here yesterday so we only took SUBYDOO to the Kahunaville Car Show. This show was disapointing. There were only about 10 cars at this show including us. Three of those were customized Chevy S-10 pickup trucks and the rest were mostly an assortment of of Honda Civics and Mazda Proteges. Everyone was really, really young and we obviously did not fit in with them. There was one older fellow there with an original RX-7. We hung with him for awhile. One of the younsters with a Plymouth Arrow coupe (Mitsubishi) pointed to SUBYDOO and asked;"Hey man, what is that?" I told him it was an SVX. He replied, "Nice man...what's an SVX?" We just grinned and walked away.

The good part about the car show was that we missed the Bush/Kerry debate.
