Hi from a New Member
Hi to all from a new member.
My name is Mark Capuano, and I recently bought Casper150's 1994 AWD SVX. It's a real beauty, and I'm lovin' it. I live around Atwood Lake (Carrollton, Ohio area) and the AWD is perfect for driving around in these eastern Ohio hills and back roads. My other car is an Outback. My son loves this car so much that he wants to buy one with a blown transmission and put in a 5-speed. I warned him it's probably a VERY expensive proposition, although I did read Bill Huckelby's "How I installed the 5-Speed in my SVX with great interest, and want to show it to my mechanic for a feasibility and cost estimate. Well, that's all for now. This looks like a great group, and I'm looking forward to being part of it. Capuano |

Great Philosophy, Kelli
Hey Kelli,
I LOVE your philosophy about being a pessimistic optimist. I've found that this had been true most of my younger years, and I was quite happy. As I got older I started "expecting" things to always turn out right, and spent too many of those days either anxious or miserable. For the past 5 years or so I've gone back to the original plan, as you so aptly described it, "I am a pessimistic optimistic. I think the worst is going to happen, that way when it does, i don't feel as bad, but if the best happens, i am twice as happy.", and I'm back to being my old cynical, joyful self again. The people aroung me like me bether this way, too. Although I've tried to explain why I'm such a pessimist to them, I've never seen this philosophy put into words before. Thanks! Mark |
thanks Mark....i don't like gettin my hopes up...but i like being surprised, so it works out great for me....
