British Isles

United again under the benign tutelage of Sir AreDub of Jay.

Thanks again Randy. You may not get many Paddies to post on this one with a title like that, particularly this week with St Patrick's Day coming up!

Speaking of Paddies [plural] my friend in Dublin noticed another Black over Claret in the city last week!! I am not alone! Will have to get tips from Jamsvx how to track him down and enlist him.

Joe:D :D

I'd have to side with my countryman on that one!!;)

*sits down by the fire as Joe et al gather round*

"Tell us how you chase the elusive SVX mister Dunne". "Well", says I to the enchanted multitude, "it takes skill and daring...and a willing co-pilot. Let you never be thwarted in your efforts to chase an SVX, even if it going the opposite way to you and you are running late....they are a cunning and devious creature and will use all manner of wile to deceive you!". "Like what oh sage of the ages?" they gasped. "The SVX is fleet of foot and sure of grip, but don't let that stop you! Mash the pedal, discrad unnecessary weight, kick your passengers out the door....just increase speed and pursue. Mark though, dispose not of your partner in the passenger seat for no SVX is worth the withering looks and cold shoulder that would result from THEY being deposited on the roadside like unwanted rubbish!!!"

"Follow the manner of the lunatic Camry Driver from Down Under, and you too can holler across 4 lanes of traffic, hanging out the window as you pass a flyer!" :D

Would "United Kingdom" be a better name for the forum? Or just "Europe in general"? I dun want to offend anyone..

Wish I could take ALL the credit, but can't. I can only "request." Sith makes it happen, by virtue of Chris's generosity. It takes a village. :D

Could I see your passport, sir ;)
Actually, Joe must be comfortable with Great Britain, whereas United Kingdom is probably not as appropriate.

So long as we can have kippers for Sunday breakfast. My Dad had a passion for Kippers and there were even times he would drive 50 miles to Fleetwood before dawn to get Kippers for Sunday breakfast.
Then it was down to the Pub to quench the resulting thirst with several pints of Greenhalls.

Home, sicker

Now you are doing it Colin. Randy, from one of his mis-spent youths, will remember Supertramp:

"Do we have kippers for breakfast, Mommie Dear, Mommie Dear?

Gotta have them in Texas, everyone's a millionaire."

I'm gettin' old. Nostalgia didn't used to be this good.

Sith, absolutely no offense taken. We are grateful for the provision of the arena. For myself, I would probably like Britain and Ireland. This would be more PC, many would not like a name that presumes Ireland is still incorporated in the British Empire.

However, a very good point is the non-inclusion of our European friends. Bjorn or baktru is very keen, with many interesting posts. I would be just as happy with the forum called European SVX.

Well, you're "Bloody Well Right" there, Joe.

I'd love to participate in Nostalgia, but, I can't remember any. :D

You're O zone

Quick change guys. I like this. More inclusive of our friends on the mainland [Europe I mean] and offensive to nobody.

Also, Randy, I suggested last week we [Irish and English] are planning a summer meet. Possibly we could set up a poll to determine which venue is most attractive.

My suggestion was for a weighted poll. You assign 5 to the one you like best, 4 to next best and so on. Highest aggregate is selected and organised.

Is this possible, or can we only poll 1 person 1 vote?

Joe:)

The furthest I've driven to a meet is 1,100 miles. Wisconsin to Vermont. Lets see, Wisconsin to Lord Montague's place has got to be all of 4,000 miles. That might be some kind of record in the SVX world.
There is a bridge, right
