anyone know if a radio from an02 forester will fit? it's a p122 cd/cass. thanks dennis happy holiday's to all:)

post a picture of it dennyo i got a cd-cass player from an my03 outback or lib the other day and got it hooked up in my corolla was easier to do then i thought it is just smaller then standard double din i think but the vol control knob may not fit behind the svx door unless you shave the back of the door

hmm its a bit diferent then the one i have is that a pocket thing underneath it it looks like its 2and a half din all up :lol: yeah it should fit with the pocket removed

It will physically fit, but has a different plug for the wiring harness.....there is a member on here that sells an adapter to make it a "plug and play" deal....

aust92 just the radio and cd deck not the box underneath. huck, i crossed the pin-out for the wrx-svx dave sells and they appear to be the same.i have that harness from dave. i currently have a wrx h/u in now. i wanted to be sure it(forester h/u) wasn't to deep for the svx

Yep to the best of my knowledge all Legacy/Forester/Impreza use the same pin-out, only the SVX has the odd ball one, which is basically because it was offered in some markets with steering wheel controls, so it needed more pins

The best looking/fitting one I found was out of a 03 Legacy GT. It was the midline model 6 disc changer. Looks like it almost belongs in there (green background lighting and similar button shaps and the controls are high up to not interfer with the door. If you do a search you can see what it looked like in my old car.
