Photo Section
 

I was just thinking about it, and it does seem like a good idea. I do understand that we have lockers and such, but a photo only section would be a good place for people to just throw up some pics of whatever instead of having to ruffle through lockers. Could this please be made into a sticky so people can add their opinions.

seems pointless to me. how exactly do you expect the pictures to end up there. Just seems like it would become a confusing mess. but if you have a plan...

Essentially it is just a section of the forum to post up pics and people get the chance to sound off on the pics.

The basic idea is that it could clear up some of the other areas of discussion here by piling all the pictures into one area.

I've seen some forums that post thumbnails of random images from lockers...

I think it would be hard to manage a pictures section. If we had one, we would probly have to at least remove some of the lesser used sections and/or sub forums

The RS Liberty Club forums have a mambers ride section where every member is aloud to post two pics of their car up for every one to see, might be an idea?

I'm all for it...Ive always wondered why there was no picture/video section on this forum.

The legacy forums have photo sections that divide it up into all the colors of the cars......

likewise with Nasioc.com they have a great members rides photo section...i think its a great idea!

Why clutter up the network and hog more bandwidth when there is a perfectly good locker system right now?

You do remember that this site is FREE and has no financial support other than Chris and the people that donate to keep it up? Bandwidth costs money. :(

Has anyone checked out LegacyGT.com? They have a photo section categorized by color. This makes it easy to find and view cars of a desired color. Car photos could eliminated from the personal lockers and placed by color in to the corresponding folder for easy reference. Personal lockers could be used for Non-SVX personal photos. A folder could be created for meet pics. We already have one for how-to ducuments

I have just cast my vote for a photo section.

There are a number of ways it could work. One way, we could put up a selection of say 10-20 photos from each major meeting.

We could put up a section on modified cars.

We could put up a photo selection of each different colour of SVX

We could put up a section that displayed the differences between different markets.

We could put up an SVX Sports section, where we show pics of cars that members are currently racing, auto-x, whatever.

Any other ideas??

I know that I will sound like a broken record, but there are a few changes on the horizon and we will have to look at it after that. :)
