Headed to the Barrett-Jackson Auction

cant wait, go just about every year....
Going up for the 2 best days Friday and Sat...
Talked and met David Letterman there a few yrs ago...
pretty cool,. Yet to see an SVX go thru the auction
but would be real interesting to see how a late model
almost collector car do there. Someone should bring one
of those 97 Showroom queens to one some yr. :) :)
Anyway, try to take some pics and stuff....
Later !!

Dayle :D :D

Watching on the Speed Channel

Yep, watching the auction as I type this... just saw to Vipers go for less than $55k each! It would definitely be a rush to see a frame off SVX come through...
Enjoy yourself!!

Barrett-Jackson Auction

Hi, Enjoy the auction and the weather. I watched most of it on speed channel. They did say that there were too many jap. cars
built and that there was not much chance that any would go on sale. Gees $400,000 for a 1938, wow.
Bye for now.......Ralph:cool:

Did you see the guy that bought all 4 Callaway Corvettes?! He paid $685,000 for all 4

That was something to watch!

My dad is there right now. If you see a semi truck with a huge trailer that converts to stadium style seats, canopy, and air conditioned living room, that's where he is. He gets paid around 3k to drive that thing around for 2 weeks. Heh.

Auction

What do you think Dayle? I am watching on tv and they are bringing a lot more than last year. I used to go to the portland swap meet every year when i lived in Alaska. Would buy one or two and ship them to Anchorage . Put them in the car show (world of wheels ) in May and sell them before the next year. I had a car in the car show for 12 years in a row. Lot of fun and made a few bucks to.. ... Jim in Mesa...

Yeah, I caught that one, and I was floored just watching it. Damn, it must be nice to have that kind of money. If I did, I'd of had that Superbird, and one of those Hemi Cudas to keep it company.:D

yeah, it was crazy....checked out the Callaways in
the staging areas about 30 min before the drove them
inside. The where some crowd pleasers.
So was the $400,000 V12 Lincoln Zepher and the muscle
cars (ie Shelbys, Boss Stangs, Copo Camaros and Hemi Chyrslers)
all brought in some record prices !! Wonder if their prices will
keep elevating over the yrs, dont see why they wont.
Great food, lots of great cars to check out, and hot chicks on top of it all with some great weather made it a great weekend.
Took my friend Amber and her son Austen, his first car event :) :)
He was bidding on the car in the background haha
