Android dyno

I am attempting to setup a dyno program on my evo 4g. I know they arent real reliable or accurate, but I wanted to see how the free dyno app did, and I could post you guys the charts when I'm done. Anyway, I need some help, there are a few pieces of data that the program needs that I just cannot find, please anyone with an idea or even a good guess, chime in!

Pitch characteristics - ? default is 2.00*/G (pitch angle in degrees @ 1 G acceleration)

Roll characteristics - ? default is 2.50*/G (roll angle in degrees @ 1 G cornering)

Weight - my 94 fwd should be 3375lbs according to the interwebs

Drive train losses - ? Whats typical for subies weird fwd trannies? default is 15%

Rolling resistance - ? Need to look at my tire manufacturer? Psi? Weight? default is 0.015%

Drag coefficient - 0.29 cd - interwebs

Frontal area - 0.557 m2 - interwebs

Alright... help!

Re: Android dyno

drivetrain loss on the awd auto is about 25-30%

Re: Android dyno

Sooo... the fwd would be higher than 15%??

Yes, the FWD still works very similar. I haven't seen any numbers, but it's still going to be 20-25% on a fwd auto on the SVX, more than likely closer to the 25%

Even with the rear diff, center viscous clutchplate for the awd hookup and all those drive shafts/cv axles missing, you think its still close to 25%..... no way, its gotta be a ton lower.

Oh neat, I just downloaded the same app.

I would put 20% for the FWD auto, but I have no idea.

look at edmunds etc. they typically have all the stats you need for it, I did the app and tried running it for my speed6 since my svx is still out of commission but i did it when that app first came out and was in beta, glitched like a mofo and never worked. last time i tried to calibrate it wouldn't let me... The fwd still works in much the same way, input shaft goes to rear of transmission where it meets a reduction gear and has to get transferred all the way back up to the front differential. It's going to be in between 20 and 25%, definitely not lower than 20% since the AWD has been shown to be at around 28-30% on a true dyno...

Re: Android dyno

I always thought that the parasitic drag from the driveline, rear diff, and rear axles would impact the drivetrain loss a lot more than just 5 percent. closer to 10...can anybody confirm actual numbers?

I hear Dynolicious is a good one, but it isn't free, and I don't know if its for anything other than iPhone/iPod Touch.
