Sun roof tired

Is this an on going problem . I rarely open the sun roof but when I do I have to give it a little push up to get it started . It closes water tight and opens all the way and closes easily too. Any ideas how to lube it or to tighten it up? Have not been on here in a while so I have a few small issues to get fixed.

Yes, its very normal. You will have to open it, clean off the track of all the old grease as best you can. Then use silicone spray lubricant on the track and all should be as new. I have been too lazy to get to doing it in mine. Can't use it 6 months out of the year here anyway:o

Put some silicone libricant,(or sil-glyde from NAPA, Auto Zone)), around the rubber gasket of the sunroof panel. I use iSil-Glide on all my rubber gaskets to keep them lubricated and the doors from freezing in cold weather

It's intersting, on my pearlie, it I wanted to open the sunroof while the car was stopped, I would have to give it that initial "nudge". If I was travelling a highway speed, I could open it without any problem.

The problemseems to be the initial friction between the gasket and the roof panel for the initial tilt.
