WTB: New head light fixtures
Mine are all yellowed and ugly. I've tried to clean them... but haven't had any luck.
Just the front, dont need side markers or anything. |
what have you tried?
i think there is a thread. in the canadian forum about yellow fog lights...there were a few items listed... i've used flitz....it seemed to work a little.... |
Do a search on it and there will be lots of stuff to try. They are about $350. each new. That would pay for quite a bit of polish. :) :)
|
you can also have a good local body shop sand and clear them. it lasts and doesn't cost nearly as much as new ones.
|
hmm, i have to take my car in for some body work anyway for when that asshole hit it- so maybe ill just do that.
sanding sounds good. thanks guys. and yes, i have seen a LOT of threads on this- i just am less confident with my car (as of now anyway) as most of you... i mean less confident doing WORK on my car. i need to learn for sure. especially with this car. but im still not comfortable enough to take my head lights out, stick 'em in the oven, and all that stuff that ive read on here.... im rediculously bad with intrusctions sometimes. i tried to make a cake one time and it came out like a cupcake. |
sand and clear
I had a guy take 20 minutes in thr grocery store parking lot to clear mine. He rubbed them down with some homemade concoction of chemicals, then sanded them, then clear coated them.... Came out pretty good..:

Who did that for you? The local medicine man?  :)

headlights
Some guy that details cars at a local used car place. A friend of mine told me to call him to get them done. He told me to meet him in the grocery store parking lot and it was done. I found it rather amusing myself.
