window won't go down
 

Can anyone tell me ahead of time before I take the door apart to get to the window what would cause my window to not go down, but I'm still hearing the motor working. I hear it going up and down, but the window won't move, so I'm not sure what broke. Is there a cable inside?

Most likely it's the plastic piece that traps the bead on the cable. It's on the movable carriage that is attached to the window itself. You'll have to remove the door panel; force the window down far enough to expose the carriage; R&R the plastic clip around the bead on the cable, and reassemble.
What you're hearing is the cable traveling around without being linked to the window.

I took pictures of a broken plastic piece that I found in the bottom of the door.
The window cable goes up and down, but the cable nut obviously needs something to pull the window down.

Is this piece the sleeve lock regulator 61246 (subaruparts.com)?
I don't know how it mounts inside the door.

Can someone tell me how to fix this? Or do I need a new regulator or something?

Thats the thing. Motor the join between the two ends of the cable to about the middle of the door. That goes into the cavity on the plastic thing that broke. Once thats on the cable you can pull the window down and slide in the plastic clip into the metal bracket on the window. Be careful as right now the only thing holding the window up is a hell of alot of weather stripping.

I guess I can't figure out how that plastic piece looks when it's in the correct position...Can I just order that piece or do I need to order an assembly?...this piece I took a picture of looks like it's broken on the one end.

Are you saying pull the window down half way to see how the piece fits back on?
