parking brake

does any one else's parking brake seem to do nothing unless it's cranked as far as it possibly goes? It's not a big deal, but if there's some easy way to correct this i'd love to know it..

You probably need to adust the cable. I've never done it myself, so offhand I don't really know where the adjustment is done.

But it can't be hard.

Actually, I believe the e-brake adjustment is under the center console.

Yup...part number 2 in the following:

Yea i was going to say the same thing. Adjust the cable and you should see better results. I need mine to be adjusted too.

To do it properly. You back off the cable adjuster through the console. Then adjust the rear brake shoes, through the backing plate. There is a small rubber plug that you remove, adjust the shoe adjustment till the wheel starts to bind. Back off the adjuster to free the wheel. Then adjust the cable through the console till the lever rises 6 to 7 clicks.

If you just do the cable, the lever will feel better, but the brake won't work any better.

Do it properly do it once.:D
