94 fwdsvx vs.95 integra turbo 280 hp

I raced this guy at the track last thursday and it was a very close race has reacted better at the light with a half a car jump after I engaged the 100 shot I had a half a car lead until the very end where he was inching up and the very end.I ran my best time ever my fwd svx ran a 13.71at 104 an also it ran 8.82in the 1/8 at 82mph.He ran 13.79 at 107 an 9.03 at 85 in the1/8 but his 60ft sucks svx60 ft 2.18 integra 2.48.He wants to race on slicks,he have ran a 13.1 I have never ran the svx on a slick I'm borrowing some hoping they fit and hey we may have a 12 second svx, because I don't use the gas until the very top of first gear 6000rpm,and yes I don't know why some svxes won't shift past 6500 but my car will hit 7000 rpm each shift on motor or nos.I think if I shot early in first I will hit real close to a twelve,if I'm like two or three tenths away, the 125 shot is going in that same night.

Good luck Walter. A 12sec SVX NOS pass would be extremely awesome!!! :)

Great time. Would that be the first 12 sec SVX? Did you strip your interior out?

GreenMarine 07-15-2004 02:40 PM

Oh WOW!!! I can't wait to hear about beating an Integra!!!!

No I still have a full interior, but I don't think I can win on a slicks remember he do have a very light car,but I'm calling zex tomorrow to rejet my fuel side for a little more top end with the 100 shot, whats the stall speed for an svx, my car will stall up to 3000rpm if I powerbrake it.Aamco told me a car stall speed varies mostly because two engines put out different amounts of torque, but for the svx I hear anywhere from 2200 to 2700.But anyway guys twelves in an svx would be better left up to an awd car with a stick but I'll give it a shot next weekend.

Walter, I was always under the impression that the stock SVX stall is 2500rpms.

Anyways, you need to get a digital camera sometime bud. People will want to see pics of your slip if you ever run low 13s or even a 12.... :)

As far as I can recall, his is the first one to run in the 13's at all. Great run! I still want to see what a RWD SVX can do. Less power lost to the wheels, like on the FWD versions, but better traction than the FWD due to weight transfer. I think it would smoke!

Johnny (still a chance mine might go RWD one day)

Now wait a second there Johnny.... SVreX ran in the 13's at the 2004 Motorsports challenge... And that was on only a 50 shot!!! Then again there was no interior at all :D:D:D

True enough, but the fact that it was gutted almost completely puts it into a whole different category than even remotely stock or even modified. Not to take anything away from the SVreX, but it's not exactly a streeter at this point. ;)

Johnny (I had forgetten about the SVreX though :o:D)

Walter, if you run a low 13 or 12 sec pass next week, mail me a copy of your time slip and I'll take a pic of it and mail it back. You're in NC, and I'm about 200 miles north of you in VA...

PM me, and I'll give you my address.
