Looking for original SVX wheels

I bought a 92 SVX and the previous owner put 18 inch wheels on it. I dislike them and want to buy a full set of SVX wheels.

Just curious, what do the 18"s look like?

I have 3 spares... I sold the fourth to a forum member in Omaha.

But If the 18"s look good, maybe there could be some sort of a trade... Mine need some re-painting, though...

Otherwise, if you can find one, I can sell you three more.

PhenixWheels.com has refinished two sets of wheels for my 92s. I'm most impressed with the work. One set, in 92 SVX color, can be seen in my signature link on the black JDM SVX.

My point is, find an inexpensive set, and have Phenix Wheels recondition the set for you :)

good luck

I see you are in Wisconsin, where at? I have a total of around 20-25 stock rims that you could have your pick from. I have some that need refinishing and others that are in good shape, not perfect but good.

I have 4 original rims, no idea what shape they are in I took them off the day I bought the car.

I was going to recommend that you speak to Nate but he beat me to it. He's the closest and has a LOT of wheels it seems.

I wish I had a lot of everything....

Though my girlfriend would hate me too.. She already complains about all the microfiber cloths, the four tires on the porch and the subwoofers laying around.

I feel you, I have a whole spare engine that manages to take up about half my parents' 2-car garage.

Phenix Wheels is close to you,

OEM Wheel Restoration, up to 20", is $100 per wheel, see webpage.
Add $50 for aftermarket wheel

http://www.phenixwheels.com/wheel_restoration.html
12-steps in wheel restoration process.

I was so impressed with the wheels for the black JDM, I ordered another set of wheels for the Pearl JDM, wheels with some machined surfaces. I hope to post some pics of these in the Pearl JDM thread, after our July maintenance meet.

Brilliant craftsmanship, total perfection. I spent younger days working in a machine shop, I know quality workmanship when I see it, I'm totally impressed with both sets. Each set I had done was a different style, with a different OEM color coat.

I trusted Phenix Wheels for my two JDM SVX. The wheel sets I received 'finish' the cars. It's true, wheels make a car.

Check the weblink, or give Phenix a call. :)

Re: Looking for original SVX wheels

@NeedForSpeed: Are the rims you had restored the same as the US OEM ones or are they specific to your JDM ones? Because the US stock wheels are 16"s and the thread on the black one says they're 17"s.

A little 'trickery' actually,

The wheels are OEM TT Dodge Stealth, 91-93, 17x8.5x46, but the JDM 'police-interceptor' TT wheel is a better story :D

The wheel color is '92 SVX. The illusion of OEM SVX is complete, as a set of SVX wheelcaps were modded to fit.

I'll take some pics when I mod the caps to fit wheels for the Pearl JDM. :)
