Take a look at this modified SVX on ebay
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=250238692912
This is a JDM 94 S40ii model. The spoiler, similar to the JDM spoiler, but higher, has been added and flushed in to the boot lid, like on the prototype. Then they've painted the roof and trunk black like the early models. The waterfall grill has been replaced with a 97 grill sprayed silver. |

He said that he didn't have a pic of the engine, but used a "similar" one.

Twin turbo SVX,gto
I mailed the guy through ebay asking for pics of the 'all almighty twin T' and got pics of someone elses engine......

It would be an interesting [but difficult] transplant to drop in a Legacy Twin Turbo engine into an SVX, with fairly easy power upgrade and lots of torque.
That's what I thought when I saw it, but the DVLA lists him as having the 3310 cc engine. If it really has a twin turbo set-up, then it is a very rare bird indeed. Joe :D |
The car with the custom spoiler is back on ebay. The seller has clearly done some research on the net and dropped the "twin turbo" claim. Unfortunately he did the research on a US site and he now claims that it has a 90:10 torque split.

Migrant bird it is...
:) Hi all,
I was browsing around for fun on some known European car sale sites when I seemed to remeber having seen familiar pictures of a rare bird. http://www.autoscout24.at/Details.aspx?id=vdcppvqq1cht Contact number in Austria?... Eastbound it seems to get cheaper too. :D Cheers. Paulo |
Well spotted Paulo!
The one part that intrigues me, more than the guff about twin turbos and all, is the professional quality of the raised spoiler integrated with the bootlid. I mean it looks an exact replica of the pre-prototype model!!. Where would they get dimensions and specs? Even better, look at the shape of the plastic trims below the rear windows each side. These widen as they go back to meet up with the raised spoiler. Who would have facilities to make such specialised plastic? My guess is this was done by some styling house in Japan, or maybe run off as a special by an SVX fan who has internal access in the factory to some of the original design drawings or dimensions. Damn fine work. Joe |
That resembles my wing just a little bit.:p
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y12...20Wing/5-1.jpg It's starting to take shape, I can't wait to finish it.:D |
I like how his svx apparently has an electronic stability management system too
|
Its shame that dont have leather seats, and sunroof.Nice car anyway....
