BEST Car Cover for the SVX?

Simply the best.

I am looking for any input/ suggestions on where to go for a good thick cover for my SVX. Im looking for something that fits the SVX specifically, not a universal, that is thickly padded and soft inside but waterPROOF on the outer shell.

(This is for my Claret, which is stored primarily inside but is to prevent damage and moisture if it needs to be stored outside.)

Thanks!

Out of all of the covers I have for mine, the SVX cover that was made by Subaru, fits the best. There are others that fit pretty good, but they are all about the same. :)

Do you have a part number for it?

I too have used the factory car cover for the SVX, and will agree with the point you make about the fit.

However, this is not the type of cover I am looking for. I am trying to find something MUCH thicker, with a soft lining and waterproof.

Mike, I have an "Evolution 4 from Kimberley Clark" fabric cover that's very soft, and I believe waterproof I got used off ebay. I don't, however, recall any manufacturer info on it, but will take a look. Evolution is the quilted look, thick material they use in tent-campers of recent build. Fits like a glove too. :)

Glenn

Nope, no manufacturer info, but a "1805" written on the fabric tag, possibly model number?

Your answer...

www.coverking.com

You can get a custom cover tailored for the SVX, and you pick the material and colors (if applicable). I used to deal with Coverking at my last job, and still have a contact down there.

Let me know if you're interested, and I'll see what I can do. In order to see the cover materials, you'll have to go into "Buy Now", select your vehicle (I checked, the SVX is there), and choose a fabric...pricing will be there...

...again, let me know if you need something from there and I'll see what I can do to get it at a discount price for you.

I will check coverking around lunch. Thank you!

Off topic, does anybody have the part # for the svx etched sunroof deflector? Greatly appreciated.

Well it takes some work so I don't do this everyday, but during inclement weather I use my fur blankets I bought in Japan (they're like almost 2" thick) then I put a tarp over it and tie it down with rope:p

SVeXy96 01-02-2008 02:14 AM

Oh yeah...and for really really bad weather I'll throw the futon matress on it too!

Mike621 01-02-2008 05:00 AM

Not what I'm looking to do. I want something one piece with a couple layers of thickness.

Has anyone else bought a decent cover for the SVX?

Mike I've never seen a decent cover for any car let alone a strange one off car that the world wishes was never built.;)
