Burt Rutan, founder of Scaled Composites and builder of many beautiful aircraft, announced today that he has... (drum roll)

...his own space program!

Not huge news, since private space ventures come and go - always ending, so far, with the go part. But if anybody can do it, I think Burt Rutan can. He's a friggin' genius.

The orbiter is sort of ungainly looking, but the carrier aircraft is gorgeous.
