Reinstall intake manifold

1995 SVX L with AWD. Bought it from a guy who had it sitting for long periods at this home in the country. Had quite a few wires eaten through by mice. After what I saw were repaired, the check engine light was still on. In evaluating things I discovered a wiring connecter under and in front of the throttle body that was chewed close to the connecter. Well......I finally figured out that the manifold had to come off. So all wiring (found three other problems also) is fixed. Ready to reinstall the manifold.....but was wondering if I needed to put some type of gasket sealer on the surface of the manifold prior to reinstall.
Thanks for taking the time to respond.

Hi David, the answer is no, you don't need a sealent.

I WOULD recommend some new gaskets though, they were cheap, even through the dealer.

Don't worry if they don't match your old ones, they redesigned them, and the no longer have the metal rings impregnated.

I would also highly recommend replacing any vacuum hoses while you have it off, also, the PVC valve is a lot easier to replace when the manifold is off, and you need it. :D
