I am so p/o right now (srry its kinda long)

Ok so this morning before I left for school I set $100 on my desk so my brother could deposit it into our bank account after school. And this is at about 7:30 AM, so like usual, before I left the house I locked all the doors and shut everything off. All's good so far, until about 2:30 ish PM. I get a phone call from my brother "Did you move that money this morning" and so about now im really pissed off. So I get home and talk to my brother, when he got home everything was how I had left it that morning, doors locked..everything off. Ok so I check all the windows and everything... its all locked up. Now im thinking WTF where in the hell is my $100??? We looked everywhere, tore the room apart looking for it.... no luck. So I walked to the police station and made a statement, not like thats gonna do me any good it never gets past there. But I thought I might as well do it. So now im really pissed because I am $100 short.... and there is nothing at all I can do about it. So much for work this last weekend, i got $20 out of what I had to put into gas and now the rest is blown away. What a way to start my week..... we have no idea on how someone could have done this, you see no one knew that I had the money... so obviously its someone whos been in this house before, knows where to look, and wanted just that. Because there was a debit card there and a PS2, plus a lot more stuff... and if it was someone who just wanted to rob us they would have stolen all of that. What gets me the most is that they would have to have our house key or something, because everything was locked. So tomorrow we are changing ALL of the locks. I swear some people....... thanks for listening, i kinda had this build up on me and had to get it out. ~Dennis

I don't like to say this, and I hope you don't get mad, but could it have been an inside job? Good luck and I am sorry to hear of your loss. I know how you feel. :(

mysvxrocks 10-25-2005 12:05 AM

I know what you mean, but I dont think it was, I mean the reason I was going to put it into the bank was because we dont have a lot of money in that account and need it to keep it open. But I am going to be a lot more careful, Im going to lock my bedroom door as well when I leave now, and only I have the key to it. I have a security camera I could hook up if I wanted to, and maybe that is something to consider... who knows, this isnt the first time stuff has gotten taken from us. I had a lot of tools stolen from me last year, as well as my dad had a couple really expensive watches taken, both at seperate times, but we got the watches back, they were thrown back into our yard. Uuh it just seems as if our lives are going downhill.... something else is going down every day it seem like. ~Dennis

Hummmm?

Think about it. Why would an outside thief throw expensive watches back in the yard?????

We think we know who had the watches, it was one of my brotheres friends, and I think he threw them back because my brother told him how much they ment to my dad. Because they've been in our family for quite some time. We were lucky that time, but this time.... it looks like im out $100. This really sucks major, because I dont have a steady job, and only work when im needed (which isnt that often) so to me at least $100 is quite a large sum...

Your brother took it!

...well it COULD happen :D

Next time ensure the money is not in open view for sneaky hands.

Sorry to hear it. It sucks when you can't trust things to stay in your own house.

Sorry to here that, however I got you beat. I came home from New Mexico 2am friday. Everything was fine. I got a couple hours sleep, grab some fresh clothes and head to MD for the weekend. Manged to squeeze in a few runs at Ripkin Stadium auto-x too. I got home Sunday around 8pm. Someone had broke in. They dumped the clothes out of the suit case and loaded it with $200 worth of wine, my PS2 and games, the laptop Iv'e had for about 3 months, the digital camera I got 2 months ago and various videos and 2 Graduation rings (high schools and CG Boot Camp). Total loss is over 2G's and I still havnt gotten a chanse to go through very thing. Luckly they didnt find the pistol and swords I keep hidden.

We think its one of our old friends that doesnt come around anymore, my parents own the house so no one else has lived there for over 30 years... the old friend I mentioned knows our house, and would be able to get in... hes a big druggy now and would do anything to get his crank for the day. If only he would come in when we're there, I'd be the end for him   I hope we can get him connected to the stuff that was stolen so we can put him away. I was really lucky I happened to lock my door that morning, because he would have gotten my X-Box, my games, and maybe even my $2000 computer... We're going to put deadbolts at the top of our doors, because we have a dog door on our back door to the house and if someone wanted in they could reach in and unlock the deadbolt. I hope this will fix the problem, but just incase, I put up a security camera so now everything is on tape. That really sucks about all your stuff that got taken, and you are lucky that they didnt find you guns and stuff. ~Dennis

That's kinda the same situation I went out of my way to avoid.

I don't think even my neighbors know where I live.

Is there access to your residence through a crawlspace? I don't know what kind of building you live in but in rare cases holes are cut through separation walls in the duplexes and condos under crawlspaces and in attics.

A person could get in and out without a key, and without leaving any evidence of being there.
