My friends,

I believe this could be the ultimate SVX successor.

What are your thoughts?

no........The body looks good, the lines look really good. But, the interior is ****, i hate the doors. gull wing doors=:barf: and what the hell are those mirrors on the steering wheel.http://img2.netcarshow.com/Italdesig...llpaper_08.jpg

Obviously designed by a video gamer. This car would make a lot of sense to someone who likes to be loaded with information at all times (with minimal neck movement), like myself.

The body is better and more interesting than most modern cars. I see they draw on their old Maseratis, there are hints of Merak/Bora, Ghibli and 3200GT. I bet this car is aimed straight at Maserati :)

Interior didn't work for or against. I generally prefer information on HUD and some basic analog meters and gauges for backup.

Actually the mirrors at the steering wheel are a brilliant idea. Bravo Giugiaro!

Not a fan myself for the Gullwing doors either... nor transparency in doors, I really love the design.

The front end is awesome (see it more of a successor to the Ferrari 458) I wouldn't mind having it as a new SVX.

With a bit more tweaking to the rear end, mainly the upper edge section of the trunk area, I see a huge potential in this car.

Oh... and the passenger side stupid dash gadgets has to go...

I totally agree! After my car being wrecked by a 16 year old arnamental girl, I am not able to turn and look beside the car and even using the side mirrors causes major pain. I depend totally on mirrors to see beside my car and to the rear. Those mirrors would be a godsend to me.

I totally agree. The first thing I thought of was Maserati.
Beautiful car, interior... meh.

It's the same kind of outrageous that the SVX was in it's time.

Would have made a quite decent Lambo GT :)

Those mirrors on the steering column are probably video screen tied to rear cameras I would imagine.

Yea, that's what it looks like to me too. Good idea I'd say. You can angle the cameras so that there are no blind spots.

Nope. VW owns ItalDesign-Giugiaro now. They won't be giving that design over to their Fiat-owned competitor.

Supposedly it is based on the floorpan of the Passat CC, if there is any of that left.

Pininfarina Cambiano, however is designed by a design house beholden to Fiat brands, like Maserati and Ferrari.

There is a bit of resemblance in the horizontal theme, and blacked-out roof to a silver/black SVX in this car, too. Not everything... but a bit of resemblance in premise.

And I wouldn't mind a coupe (one long door) left side, with a sport sedan (tandem passenger doors) right side, with a lift back hatch. It would be like splicing half of my SVX with half of my Legacy GT, body-wise. I have long wished for a new SVX, or a new H6 powered Legacy coupe, or SOMETHING.
