Whine...
 

Ive been asking around to try to figure out what this whining noise is around 2000rpm... I live by myself so I have a hard time listening to noises outside of my car b'c Ill need a another person.?

I'm sorry, but I don't think another person will help. When I had another person (X-wife) living with me, that is all I heard - whinning! It didn't matter what RPM I was at! :eek: :mad: :o

Are you sure it's "wining"? When you mention 2000 RPM one of the first things I think of is a heat shield or the exhaust resonator. My resonator was almost exactly at 2000, within a couple hundred, and it varied as the exhaust system warmed up.

no... Its pretty obvious whine.. not a rattle.

drive belt maybe?
