speedometer dead and flashing light

I just had my car fixed and yet another trouble pops up.
The speedometer called it quits yesterday.
And when i start the car, the 'power' light flashes 16 times (16 short blinks)
did this happen to anyone?

Either the front speed sensor or the drive gears for it inside of the front diff.

Hopefully it's the speed sensor, do a search you'll find posts on how to diagnose the problem.

I've got the 16 code but nothing else. I do notice that my mileage has changed, so I will have to yank into things this weekend to find out.

The 16 flashes on start up is not a code. It means that there are Transmission error codes stored and you need to go through the process of getting them.

Car's been sitting for almost two weeks, just when summertime is here..aaarg I need to fix it asap.
I need to know if the drivetrain from a 92 5sp legacy will work on my car, my friend would let the whole car go for cheap..that or a 98 5sp forester

Just purchase the kit from All We'll Drive. Save yourself the hastle. PM Tomssvx or Mike 621:)

If you do that, and know someone who can weld just a bit, it is all pretty straight forward.
