MP3 CD Burning Program
I've recently converted all my CDs into MP3s so I can enjoy my new headunit. None of the CD burning programs I've used seem to meet m expectations though.
What I want it to do: 1. Be able to keep the songs in folders by album (iTunes sticks everything together in one folder) 2. Be able to keep the songs in the track order within the folder (Nero and the built-in CD burning app disregard the track # in the ID3 info) Does anyone know of a program that will let me keep the files in their original folders AND keep them in order based on the ID3 track #? |

Just resort them in Nero. You may also want to check EZ CD Creator.

The program I use to rip the MP3s does not have the option to put the track number in the title, and with 5+gigs of MP3s, I am definately not renaming them all on my own.
Resorting takes a while, I was hoping there was a program sophisticated enough to do it for me... |
i do not know of any, but i bet you could find one out there on the internet...
scour and i bet there are some pretty nifty little programs out there. i found some really cool freeware mp3 ripping and wav-wma-mp3 converters a while back. good luck, |

There are some shareware programs out there that can do this (sort based on ID3 tag), and then rename the file with the track number (i.e. "03 " or "15-") at the beginning. They are few and far between, good luck finding them. There was one for Mac that I used a couple of times... Can't remember the name. Try searching download.com? I don't really know what to tell you... I just use a Mac for all my media. :D |
Try 'CD Burner XP Pro' It is freeware and also burns DVDs better than any commercial program I have used.

Update: Tryed it, it can rename the files, but cannot burn based on the ID3 tags. Overall it looks to be a very good program. |

Nevertheless, it sounds like you are sacrificing function for form with that program. |

The option was in a menu I just discovered, apparently I had it set on beginner mode instead of expert. |
