Head light problems
I had a problem when my alternator went out my headlights stopped functioning, the switch still operates for the fog lights so I don't quite know what the problem was.

i'm not sure about this one, but the relays?
is it just the headlights that are gone? do the high beams work? checked the bulbs.......... |
well.. maybe
the two bulbs on the left side I know are fine, and the high beams don't work either, does this point to the relay?

fillaments
the fillaments are good, how do u check the relay?

They are all under the hood of the car right above the battery. The relay layout is printed on the cover.
Usually, I pull one with the same amp. rating from another system I know works and swap it with the suspect one. The amp. rating should be printed on the top or side of the relay (I don't quite remember which). If it works, then the relay was your problem. If it doesn't, swap it back and keep digging. Just from my own experience, whenever I have had headlight problems, it always ends up being the relay(s). Good luck!! |
Another open ended thread. Was a solution reached?
