Sitck a fork in it...

...the GL is done. Well, I'm done with it. On the way to the office today it started leaking a LOT of coolant from somwhere. Yeah, it might just be a hose - but if I spend all winter taking the SVX out of the garage to fix hoses on the GL, there's really no point to having the little sucker, is there?

So I'm picking up a '91 Camry that my parents are getting rid of. It's got 180k miles on it, but has never seen a winter.

I feel bad for the GL. I'm really attached to it for some reason.

Nick, I hate to hear it. There comes that timewhen you have to know when to let go. That could, unfortunately, pertain to the SVX some day. Move on and be happy. No need to pine.

Nick,
If you are really that attached to it, I'm sure the wife would allow you to make a nice planter out of it. Put it in the front yard for the whole neighborhood to enjoy:D

Sorry to hear about your problems,
Todd

No big deal, either way - the car was free. It just has character. :)

Well, the exhaust is also white, which means coolant in the combustion chamber either through the head gasket or intake gaskets somewhere.

The car also bogs down HEAVILY from a stop, to the point of 'dangerous.'

So we're talking more than a ruptured hose or something. My point, at any rate, is that I want a car that can keep the SVX in my garage all winter, and the GL doesn't look like it's gonna fulfill that role.

I might keep the GL under the corn crib behind the garage until next Spring when I can fix it and maybe get a couple hundred bucks out of it.
