Moving on
I just sold my sweet 92 LSL Touring after owning it for almost 2 years.
It's on a transport rig on the way to Omaha. I hope the new owners like it. It was sold to Forum members that have experience with the SVX. I enjoyed the car, but needed a larger, more modern vehicle. I'd like to express my appreciation to the moderators of this well run forum, and the members that have been so generous with their comments and answers. I'll cherish the SVX photo's I've taken, and put them in the box with the 30 or so pics of the many cars I've owned. None as unique as the SVX |

Good Luck To New Owner. |
Re: Moving on
Did this go to Trevor, after his other car was unfortunately damaged?
Good to keep it in the group. I hope you find just the car you are looking for, and it serves you well, and best of luck with it. Nothing to say that you can't get another SVX on the side later on... :D They are pretty inexpensive to get into. |

I can assure you the vehicle is on it's way to a great home. After having owned one, my love for this car has only increased so I'll be sure to take extra special care of this SVX. And if you ever want anymore pictures, just ask! I'll have plenty. Trevor |

Re: Moving on
The SVX arrived yesterday afternoon :)
The truck driver, Blue, was very interested in the car's styling and was shocked that it was a '92. My first drive provided me with an interesting sound coming from the front right wheel, and when i got home (the drive was only a matter of maybe a minute) i saw that about 5 inches of the lip of the front rim was missing  We called the shipping company back and they agreed to buy a replacement rim. Luckily I have another set of wheels I was able to throw on. Cleaned her up, and drove her around today. There's a "rubbing" noise coming from the front right wheel that I'm going to have the dealership look at next week, the alignment is off pretty bad (pulling to the right), and the brakes feel like they might need some work but other than that the car is beautiful and completely blows my old svx out of the water. few quick phone pics: http://photos-h.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos..._5451094_n.jpg http://hphotos-snc3.fbcdn.net/hs095...._7989272_n.jpg broken rim: http://lh6.ggpht.com/_6xpLp11XrKg/Sx...brokenrim.jpeg |
Re: Moving on
Congratulations on the purchase of this car! This SVX is even nicer than the previous one, i like the color and looks like it is in good shape! I wonder what happent with the wheel, and i think the weird sound on the front right wheel is related with whatever caused the rim to broke like that.
PS: What about centercaps on the replacement SVX shoes?? :D |

Sometime soon... I didn't really want to use these wheels in the winter with the snow, but they are all season tires and it's all I have for now so it'll have to do. |
Re: Moving on
The thought struck me last night that maybe the noise I was hearing from the front right wheel was because the rim possibly got bent during the accident. so I rotated it to the left rear and put the other one in it's place. The noise has subsided slightly, but i still hear it a bit. It may also be that I need to get hubcentric rings for these rims...which i've been putting off unintentionally.
Love this car. |
Re: Moving on
Yes, it is very important to use the hubcentric rings if they are required. The car looks great. Enjoy it. :)
PS The cling SVX stickers are on their way! ;) |

Have not gotten on line for a while. I'm shocked about the wheel. Honestly, there was not a noise from the from right wheel before I gave it to the trucker. So sorry your having that problem. It's unacceptable that they could have done something that extreme. |
