Zap!!!!!!!!!

After reading this whole article... i am just amazed...

"We tested his clothes with a static electricity field meter and measured a current of 40,000 volts, which is one step shy of spontaneous combustion, where his clothes would have self-ignited," Barton said.

I am comfortably skeptical towards this one. The author of the article doesn't really understand the science behind static, and neither do the people quoted. I'm convinced there are details that were either overlooked by the people involved or omitted by the author.

So what you are trying to tell me is that there are reporters out there that do something other than "Tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth"?

THE HORROR!!!!!!!!!

On a related note, I just watched the movie "Powder" last night, for the first time.

Do you mean 'the truth as they see fit to print' or 'the truth as they understand it to be' or 'the convenient truth'? ;) :)

Blind faith in journalism is akin to making a decision based on a celebrity endorsement. Yes, Mr. Jason Alexander, I will buy a Chrysler because I can't find a better built car.

I think, therefore I am. Those who blindly subscribe to journalistic "truth" do not think, therefore, they are NOT! :D

I wondered the same thing. There's more to the story that we're not hearing or there's less to it and somebody embellished.
