Parting out 1992 Ebony Pearl LS-L
I'm currently using this as a parts car, I've used the entire passenger's side including the quarter panel and will be using the hood, rear bumper, sun roof and any other body panel that is straighter than what I have now. It has all of the glass and some interior. It has no engine or transmission, most of the suspension is in it, but I will be using the passenger's lower control arm.
Let me know what you need, if I am using it for my car, I might have a perfectly serviceable part that it is replacing, my first priority is to make mine as perfect as I can. The passenger's door from my car is far from bad, it will just save me a few hours of body work by using the other door. Pictures here: http://s136.photobucket.com/albums/q...20Parts%20Car/ |

Re: Parting out 1992 Ebony Pearl LS-L
Come on, someone must need something from this car.
More than willing to trade too, if you have something I need. A good timing cover would be awesome, or a good passenger's corner light, or at least one with good mounting tabs. |

I can't seem to locate that grill anywhere. I thought it was hanging on the wall in my garage. I did uncover a giant spider, but you wouldn't want him in his current state.

Re: Parting out 1992 Ebony Pearl LS-L
This car is going to have to disappear soon, some jackass made a complaint to the city about some of the stuff we have out in front of the shop.

Re: Parting out 1992 Ebony Pearl LS-L
Sorry to hear that...
Any chance on a non-sagging driver's visor? I have a couple of other irons in the salvage parts pools, but if they don't have things... I'll let you know. Are there any auto wreckers/breakers that keep cars like this, without crushing them all the time? Is there anyone stockpiling smaller, out-of-production parts, for people to buy into the future, to keep these cars maintained? These cars aren't even 20 years old yet, but perhaps those few of us who know about this car, already consider it a classic, and by definition and numbers it is unique. Seems like when they go into salvage, they tend to get crushed. Porsches, BMWs, Corvettes, and lots of other cars have places that buy up cars for salvage inventory... |
Re: Parting out 1992 Ebony Pearl LS-L
Well, a local Subaru specialist had the perfect place at one time, but he was forced to give it up. He had nearly 200 Subarus ranging from the 70s to the mid-90s, he has cut that back to about 20 whole cars and piles and piles of parts. I'll try to work something out with him, he might store the parts for me, if not the whole car, and help me sell them and I would give him a cut of the sales.
No good sunvisors though, sorry, the good pair are in mine. |

Hows the stereo plug? I need one with a good bit of wire left on it.
