Subaru select monitor ssm1

ok I picked one of these up it came with 24 cartridges 4 svx one including a 97
any use these? I would love to learn some tricks with them help out the guys around here.

I never could get my SS1 working, but the SS2 used on our WRX and Forester is great for clearing codes and cycling the ABS pumps.
