Yes 65 is the lowest. If it is not cold then you need to get the A/C serviced. The easiest thing to do is check the low side pressure first.

65 in a car is pretty cool, so if it is set there and you aren't feeling the chill (especially since you are in CO) then you should get it checked and recharged.

With a properly charged A/C system, 65 is a cold as it will get. Probably needs a recharge.

The only thing that will make it SEEM to be colder is to depress the CIRC on the climate control. This will allow you to re circulate air, that has already been cooled, throughout the cabin.

In the normal position, fresh uncooled air is brough in from the outside, cooled and then exits the car.

If you don't feel a differene when it is at 65 when the car is warm, it sounds like it is not working and needs a recharge. Good luck. :)

Yeah a recharge or a few other things.. I had mine recharged twice last year and it's warm again this year. Some kind of compressor needs replaced or something.

On a normal a/c ststem if you measure the temperature coming through the vents it is usually 55-60. The 65 is cabin temperature.

65 degress should be freeeezzzing cold. What year car do you have?..92' is
R12 and must be retrofitted to R135A (expensive) 93' on, are all R135A (still expensive, just not as bad) If A/C is R135A and working, just not real cold, probably leaking and not to hard to fix. A/C shop and bit the bullet on the bill.

Well, its R134a that is the name of the newer stuff and you don't need to retrofit an R12 system to R134a. It is still possible to get it charged with R12. Anyone who says different is deterring you because it is not normally stocked at most (if not all) shops.
