i had basically the same deck. had to remove the black plastic off of the back of the flip down cover to get the fold out to work without hitting it. worked well for about a year and then quit, took it apart and found out it needs a new cable that goes from the unit to the screen, jvc won't sell you parts unless you take it to a jvc service center where they will charge you to look at and won't sell you the part unless you pay them to replace it. it was cheaper to buy a new deck. i would recommend to stay away from flip down decks in general but especially jvc since they have crappy customer service.
