SVX spotted in game (not GT4)
 

Kaido Battle, it's by Genki, the same people who did the Tokyo Xtreme Racer series (I'm a fan of those BTW). You can modify your car in this game, I think, so I wonder what you can do to the SVX...

I just got my dreamcast to play import games, now I gotta get my PS2 to do the same...

I liked the TXR series, but it was rather boring after awhile. I hope GT4 is more like GT2 then 3. I'd like to be able to use a car more then twice. Making the races based on P/W would be better then just allowing a single model.

Ona these days I'ma see how my buddies over at XT6.net are doin' on their SC and ER27T kits.

Have you seen the swaps people have done?
The body is all you really need.
That and maybe a custom strut setup to keep the front end off the ground.

The XT6 is in TXR3, too. And you can actually buy that here (not an import), and mod the wazoo out of that thing!

i've also heard there's one in sega gt2002 for xbox, I have the game just havent really played it yet so i can't confirm.

yeah so apparently its an xt-turbo. there is an svx in the game aswell.

Not really, just 1/3 less cylinders, different bumpers, different bolt pattern, and cybrid steering. Also no digi gauge, turbo, or sunroofs in 6's. Pretty much the same car.

1/3 less dissplacement is I think what he ment by huge difference, and having owned them both I'd have to agree, in stock form, the XT Turbo doesn't hold a candle to the XT6....

And the XT6's 2.7 liter Boxer-6 seems to hold up much better...

the SVX is also in the orignal Gran Trismo game for the PSX in the Subaru used car lot. and as far as TXR goes are your sure that this is not TXR3?
I know the SVX was in Tokyo Highway Battle for the Saturn which later Became the first TXR state side for the DC anyways get back to me on this please.

No this is not TXR3, the SVX is not in that. I don't remember the SVX being in the original TXR for Dreamcast either, but I can't confirm that. I can confirm that it's not in TXR2 (also for dreamcast).
Now I'm trying to figure out if the SVX is in Kaido Battle 2: Chain Reaction...

I'm pretty sure Sega GT for the Dreamcast had an SVX in it.

I'll find out if the svx was in Sega GT or not, find out if it was in GT 2002 for the XBOX.

yup theres twoof them alright an A4 SVX which I have no clue on what makes it speacial and the Version L.

Just bought Tokyo Extreme Racing 3, just because it had a Alcyone Turbo (XT Turbo) in it....

I bought the Sega GT online just for SVX, but the game itself wasn't that good. Plus the SVX itself doesn't look cool. They messed up the side surface and reflection is ahh...:( Anyway, I'm really really hoping that GT4(release date scheduled as Dec.3 '04 in Japan) will have the real GT car, SVX!! Official GT4 website says, over 650 cars.. gotta be there, SVX..

Does anyone know if this kaido game is/will be made for the PC. It has the SVX and the 22B.

yeah the SVX got FUBARED in Sega GT and it does not perform as well as the SVX in GT1 and in GT2. another thing I found out was in Sega GT its only a NA tuned car but in GT1 and GT2 when you put more performanc eparts on it becomes turbocharged.

The poor car shares the same luck in Sega GT than it does in real life.

I have GT-2, and I have my SVX (A pearly just like my real one) and I have it maxed out, and it's still NA

really? you can Turbo it in GT1. how well does it do in GT2?

It's been awhile since I played it, but it does OK....best if you stick to the Subaru only races....I have as much fun watching the replay as actually playing...

Looks like the wheels are on backwards. :\

You are incorrect. It does not become turbocharged. The only way to turbocharge it in the game would be with some sort of hack like Gameshark.

Doesn't it also have a fifth gear in GT2, or do they just count the TC lock as one?
I recall a pic I have of a fully modded SVX doing 211mph on an oval track in 5th.
I also recall the pace car can do over 200 NA.

I believe on the gray 3-tones the wheels are supposed to be "backwards" like that.

Yeah in GT 1 you could turbo charge the SVX, in GT2 they must have found out that they never came with turbos so you could only N/A tune. In both games they have 5 gear becouse selecting "Auto" over "Manual" only meens the computer shifts the manual type tranny for you. I guess they didn't care that the SVX only came with an auto.;)

Yep, it's black, silver, and dark gray. I think it's pretty cool looking, too. If I had a silver SVX I'd have it painted like that.

Well, my silver needs the bottom 3rd of its body repainted as its' full of dings and scuffs... I should just do this.

How could I find out what the color/paint code is for that 3rd color?

Where did you fidn that picture? Any more pics so I get an idea what exactly is painted (I noticed not the entire bumper, but just below the line).

By the way, I dont' understand what the backwards rims deal means... The rims are backwards on 1 side and forward on the other, at least on my SVX. All 4 wheels have the same orientation, so naturally 1 side will be backwards.
