No! it does not. 230HP is what they all came with. If anything, I would bet 96-97 made 3-4 less HP.

JLittell 06-23-2004 05:48 PM

KBB gives that info. They are incorrect.

red95svx 06-23-2004 07:33 PM

They all made 230 HP. There is some incorrect info out there....

I speak of the U.S. models. They all had 230 HP.

there is a website that has 1/4 mile times from all years. i forget what it was, but the 92 was about 2 or 3 tenths quicker than all the other years. the spread from 92-97 was nearly 4 tenths i believe.....

is there any truth of this? did this have something to do with emissions or something?

benebob 06-24-2004 09:01 PM

Pat, I think it was how the tranny was programed but since the L's have cloth seats that seem to way about 200lbs less and that I've yet to see a test of an awd L I think mine will run with ya.:D

marlettpat 06-24-2004 09:03 PM

a freakin bicycle will run with mine right now
maybe even a person on a wheel chair.......UHG! but when im fixed, bring it!

My new 96 is an L AWD. I got it down to 16.1 a few weeks ago. But it has HEAVY wheels on it, and it was about 80* with middle-high humidity. My white one ran 15.7 with the stock rims, and a LOT cooler weather, on the same track...it was an LSi...so...there ya go.
