I haven't done any aluminum installs but as for the OEM rad I find it easier to install/remove with the fans attached.

Radiator Cushions

Depending on the part of the country/world your car grew up the cushions the "bumps" on the bottom corners of the rad rest in should be inspected. All the FSM says is "Fit cushions on body and install radiator", and as I recall they look like they might even find their way out of the car with the old radiator?? Or be in pieces??

Keep in mind I did this job some months back, and I'm old ;)

Radiator change

I found that when i clamp the upper and lower hoses i dont have to bleed the system....just make sure you hook the hoses back up and fill the radiator up first :)

I'm hoping you're changing the fluid while your at it. Even if it has been less than 2 years. Might even be a good time to flush the coolant (so you get all that crappy crap out before it gets into your shiney new radiator.
