Re: parts list

There was a thread regarding interchangeable parts some time back. As I recall, it was pretty short.

This is what I've gathered from posts on the forum so far.

SVX INTERCHANGEABLE PARTS

BRAKES:
Front: 1993-1994 Nissan Pathfinder, direct bolt on.
Rear: Isuzu Trooper (not sure which year), but direct bolt on. The rear brake pads are the same as the 90-99 Legacy (rear) and 92-97 Impreza (rear).

TRANSMISSION:
96-97-& Early 98 Legacy Outback/Legacy GT/Legacy LSI/Forester/Impreza 2.5 RS with 4EAT automatic transmission, and 2.5 engine.
Get the transmission that DOES NOT HAVE the spin on transmission filter located on the drivers side, behind the bellhousing, above the left front corner of the transmission oil pan.
(The 4.44s are from any 2.5 4EAT equipped Legacy GT, Legacy Outback, Legacy LSI, Legacy GT LTD., Legacy Outback LTD., Impreza 2.5 RS, and Forester)

Change to 4.11 or 4.44 rear end with limited slip to match transmission.

NOTE, if you are just upgrading as a mod, use your SVX torque converter.
If your transmission is bad, then your SVX torque converter is probably contaminated, and you can use a 96-98 Legacy Outback torque converter.
They have been used successfully in the past.
DO NOT USE an Impreza torque converter! (unless it came from a 2.5 RS)
It is probably far too small for SVX HP levels.

You'll need your stock rear diff for its carrier and you'll need a rear differential from the same years of legacy as the tranny. You need to swap the 4.44 legacy ring gear onto the SVX carrier and put the whole assembly in the legacy rear differential.

OIL FILTER:
Purolator L30165 from the 1983-1995 Porsche 944. Its 66% bigger than the L14459 our cars call for, has the anti-drain and bypass valves and more surface area for better cooling.

REAR WHEEL BEARINGS:
STI - It's only the rears and only the 2005+ with the 5x114.3 bolt pattern.

ELECTRICAL:

Ignitor – same as on Nissan 300ZX. Part number 2202097E11, also says Mitsubishi on it. Also call an ignition module or power transistor unit.

SENSORS:
Coolant Temperature Sensor (CTS) same as on a 1990 - 1995 Legacy

O2 sensors and Temperature Sensor are all interchangeable with the Legacy 2.2. (1998)

Knock Sensor - new part number, 22060AA031, is also used in:
• Impreza 1995-1996
• Legacy 1990-1996
• SVX 1992-1997
Cam and Crank Angle Sensors from any other Subaru are interchangeable...even with each other.

MAF sensor from 2.2 liter Legacy (1998)

INTAKE:
Airbox, air filter, and MAF are all interchangeable with the Legacy 2.2 (1998).

WHEELS:
225/45/17 equivalent to stock 225/55/16
Hub Rings for the SVX are 56.1 ID and 72.62 OD

HOOD STRUTS
NAPA # is 819-5672 and rated at 90lbs - 18 1/2 inches long – modify base connection on original bracket, utilize existing ball on hood.
Need 2 –NAPA #735-1896 Ball Studs and 4 – NAPA #4757-030 Locking Nuts

Re: parts list

The Isuzu Trooper rear brake pads are direct bolt on for my rear ventilated rotors.
The original post in the other thread was before I knew that you guys don't have rear ventilated rotors. I am not sure if the pads are the same though.
