I've seen that Isuzu back home... but never knew that only 3800 were ever built! Damn... 3800 worldwide?

The VehiCROSS. Car & Driver or Automobile called it one of the 20 biggest failures of the 20th Century.

I used to end up parking next to one in the free-for-all lot at my old school

Heh, that's awesome, Dayle. And it's also an indication of what the unpainted plastic all over so many cars from the past few years is going to look like. ;)

Wikedjuggalo 11-21-2007 07:58 AM

I mean I am sure it is a nice car but I don't like the look.

I'm not sure why as it was billed as a very limited production model designed to get people into Isuzu dealerships to look at their tired old other products. If anything it failed to get people into the showrooms. It did sell about as many as they expected to or even wanted to as Dayle said a good chunk of the vehicle was handbuilt. Not very cost effective even considering the 2x the sticker price compared to a Rodeo.

I want one... they have fangs... :D

Izusu purposely made them limited #s
theres tons of info here

http://wildtoys.com/Vehicross/modifications.asp

they are great suvs, and probably more reliable then most
out there.

Their following of owners is as big if not bigger then the Svx
owners.
Powered by a 3.5 v6, torque on demand AWD, factory Recaro
seats and so on, and futuristic looks are some of the reasons
to own one.

It went from the 94 Tokyo Auto Show Concept vehicle to
production almost virtually unchanged...

i always liked them, and considered buying one a few times.

i was a little scared about where to get parts and service, though. is ISUZU still selling cars?
