SVX for sale, the car from 'Autocar'
 

I just bought the SVX from Autocar (the 'better than an XJS' roadtest) mostly due to me not being able to resist. The plan was/is to use a Legacy I have here as a parts car to turn it into a 5 speed. That said, realistically I will not have the time for a while. So, if anyone fancies a crack at it get in contact. It is showing its age, but in my opinion is an interesting example, and far to good to break.Obviously it is a UK spec car, and sports a new radiator, and a rare set of SVX floor mats. if you want the legacy as well then thats fine!

It must have been you my Dad sighted the other day. :cool: He lives in Devon and said that he saw a maroon SVX stopped by the side of the road. He thought it was me on my way to visit him, until he checked the number plate.

I saw that car at the 2002 meet in Torquay. It seemed to be in need of some love and attention even then. But as you say, the fact that it was in Autocar makes it worth fixing up. I can't wait to see it when you've finished. Good luck with your project.

Recall seeing this on Ebay from memory needs work on the auto box and overheats ? May be confusing this with others I have seen on there over last few months.

Right now there is a car in Scotland, claret and black, with engine trouble for sale on eBay.

As well as that, I notice Carl Smith who was at the show with a really nice JDM silver car has his for sale on eBay:( It's the bright silver all over colour, which suits the SVX well. He wants to get a 4x4 for lugging trailers and hauling ponies and so on.
