Huge rock lands on car
 

Yesterday (Wed) a humungous rock and rockfall landed almost directly on a car that was driving along the highway in Switzerland, killing both occupants. Two truck drivers were luckier and escaped serious injury though one truck got overturned.

This is one of the main roads connecting Switzerland with Italy through Gotthard. It'll be closed until the weekend.

Sheesh..... I can see myself checking not only side and rear-view mirrors, but also keeping an eye on the sky next time I drive that road :eek:

Bipa, What was the huge rock speed when it hit the car? How many pounds was the huge rock? :p :p

This was really an accident from the sky...those victims were really unlucky.

Bipa, next time you not only keep an eye from the sky...probably on the ground as well...sometimes the ground might crack..:p

Just watch the animated video, if the rocks were falling that quick to the car and the truck, count themselves really unlucky...especially the victims in the car. :(
