Well, the diff isn't binding...

I was pretty sure my diff was starting to bind, but I just did a slew of tests, and found that this isn't the case. It's a cracking sound when I turn the wheel right to a certain point. Is there something in the steering I should look for?

Without hearing it I would guess one of the bearings on top of the strut is going bad, and the spring is maybe coiling and then poping. Its a guess, although I've had a similar issue on an impreza.

Ditto. Put the car on jackstands, put the key into the off but not locked position, and then go the a front wheel and turn it by hand. (not spin, turn like the steering wheel does) and watch the top of the spring. Repeat on the other side. Make sure you turn the wheel all the way left and right.

idk if this is what you are describing, but when my front cv axle was bad i would hear popping when i turned certain ways. if you jack it up to check the suspension you should also check all cv boots for tears.

Usually its a loud clicking sound that gets faster as you go faster, or more intense when you turn more.
