group n/ stock WRX motor mounts

how did you guys get the mounts to work??? I personally haven't had a chance to look at it yet but when my new motor got put in by the subaru dealer in salt lake I had the reg WRX mounts that I had purchased and gave them to replace them and they said that they didn't work.... is there some sort of modification you guys did to get them to fit??

yes, the mounting brackets need to be modified to fit a 1/4" spacer and also they need to be slotted to accept the new bolts

what major advantage will this give me compaired to my stock SVX ones??? I know it's stiffer but how much stiffer?? is it noticeable???? what other gain might I get???

TomsSVX 01-30-2008 01:05 PM

they don't split nearly as easy. Plus they don't move so much either.

Who's going to start mass producing the brackets? Ive ruined 2 sets so far trying to make them work but im not "artistic" enough.

I think I read somewhere that huck installed the WRX brackets but it jacks the engine up ¼"?

I make the brackets and I usually end up selling them with teh GroupN mounts attached. Yes that is true BTW about the wrx brackets

would that interfere with my alignment with my drive shaft?? and cause rubbing?? or vibrations??? how much for the set up with the n's??

TomsSVX 01-31-2008 10:13 PM

I could make the brackets for $100 a pair or give you the group N's with them for $200. They will not mess with any alignments
