Anyone with a plain old din pocket under their radio?
I know I could have just posted in one of the "empty din idea" threads, but I'm not looking to add a cup holder or anything fancy.
I was just hoping to see what normal pockets you guys put under the radio and where you bought it from. I replaced my radio a few years ago and just never got around to taking out the stock CD player, it's been in the car doing nothing and I'm ready to have a little extra storage for things like my phone and wallet. Thanks! |

Yep, I have one. Came in my parts car so that probably doesn't help you any...
I don't think it even had a name or anything stamped in it. I didn't pay attention to that when I put it in. It has a door that flips down with a latch. |

I'm trying not to find one with a door on it aswell (not fond of having to lower the stock radio door just to lower another door inside to reach a phone/etc.)
Something more like this: http://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/...1103W00103.jpg Please excuse the JDM interior, it just happened to be something recent that showed what I'm trying to find. |
Re: Anyone with a plain old din pocket under their radio?
This is the one I purchased from Amazon.com for the Single DIN I had (prior to putting in the WRX double DIN).
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ls_o06_s00_i00 I couldn't use the edge trim plates because of the SVX trim, so I ended up painting the edges of the metal cage black because they showed a little. I'm sure there are nicer ones out there, but this was cheap and once painted it looked good. Here is a picture of it installed prior to painting the cage black. http://i644.photobucket.com/albums/u...6/64647158.jpg |

I have the same one as Sean. It worked OK.
