95 SVX SLI for sale (for parts or restore)
 

[I previously listed this car, but there were some errors in the post i have fixed]

Hey guys,
I'm selling a 95 SVX LSI that's been sitting in my driveway for 6 years.
I haven't started it since 2011 (Due to a dead battery, and illness).
It is not currently driveable, - but it did start/drive fine up the last time i started the car in 2011.
I have tested the electronics recently, and everything works.

This is a sad way to let a car go, just sitting to the elements (under a tarp), and i was hoping someone else might be interested in restoring it, ... or at least use it for parts.
The Engine, Transmission, Electronics, and body are in fairly good condition.

Options: Power everything, original stereo (CD player)

Modifications: none.
Major service: Transmission was rebuilt (at 130k i think)
Engine Condition: Otherwise good condition, waterpump leaks, Power-steering cable leaks, has some rust, engine last started in 2011 (dead battery).
Maintenance Records: Carfax available on request.
Transmission condition: Recently rebuilt (mileage-wise), good condition.
Glass condition: small chip on front window, otherwise all windows are fine.
Type of tire and remaining tread: Don't remember, 1 flat tire.
Type of wheels: Steel, original
Interior condition: had a mold issue with seats due to a leaking sunroof (i have since cleaned seats & covered the sunroof).
Body condition: Some scratches, missing paint, no obvious dents.
Known defects or problems: Water pump leaks, power-steering leaks, exhaust needs replace, AC doesn't hold charge, sunroof sticks/leaks, old gas in tank.
Comments about the car: Car sat for 6 years (on a concrete driveway) under various tarps over the years, 1 mouse nest in engine.
Probably should remove 7 year old gas and replace with new gas before starting, pretty sure an old car enthusiast can help with that.
Asking price: Asking $500, price is negotiable

I have the title.
I have the manuals, keys, and such.
I can power up the car.
The car can be sold via cash in person, ebay, or paypal,
and it will need to be towed on a trailer.

Nicest cheap one I have seen in a long time. Always liked red. For under $500 it is a steal. Body looks great for being under a tarp. Everything else is replaceable. Even if you had to do all new brakes tires and fluids. You have a nice car for less than $2,000

Thanks for posting,
It was a nice car when i first bought it for 3x as much with many of the same problems.
Back then i had a job, time, and tools, and wanted something fun to fix up.
Now, not so much, but i hoped someone else might, or at least might want a full car for parts if nothing else.

I'm selling for cheap because it's got to go.
If I can't sell it, it goes to the junkyard now.

I am very interested in this but I am all the way out in Iowa. I would be willing to try and figure stuff out with PayPal or eBay if you don't get anyone local though because these cars are super tough to find here in the Midwest.

I'm not sure about the cost of towing to Iowa?
(The car requires a flat-bed towing truck due the issues in the description).

If you can afford the towing I would probably be willing to sell it to you if a local buyer doesn't materialize.

I would probably use Ebay with Paypal for that since they offer buyer protection and stuff.

I am looking into the whole shipping deal and it seems like it will be affordable.

Paypal seems like the best way to go for payment as it should provide some protections for both of us in this.

I tried to sell it before on another website and only someone out of state wanted it,
but that didn't fall through either. (and some 10+ scammers tried to get it too).
I'd really hate to junk this thing since it was one of my favorite cars.

No but, the body, engine, and transmission are in good shape and all the electronics work.
I'm not 100% sure it'll start the first time in years without some effort,
but it had no mechanical problems preventing that.
Now it just has real old gas, the old issues, and an owner with lethargy.
