Power steering pump

Its seems awfully loud!! makes like a whirring/whining noise. Mostly when the car is cold. The fluid seems to be alright. Any ideas?

The o ring between your pump and fluid tank might need to be replaced :)

PS: are you SURE this will fix it? The pump performs perfectly. Never a problem. Just makes a whining noise at idle when i pop the hood on a cold day.

No, I am not sure as I havent seen the car personally. That is just my recommendation. It is an easy $3 fix you can do yourself, so it wouldn't hurt anything to try it.
