So, they really do exist...

I finally saw a Tribeca this morning. First time. 7:07 AM. It caught my eye because I thought it was about to pull out in front of me. Then I noticed the ridge along the quarter panel that tapers into the tail lights. Then that face.

This is not an attractive vehicle (which I could get beyond if it looked distinctive, but it doesn't). But then, it was still kinda dark.

I have seen quite a few of them around here but it took me a long time to realize it was a subaru.

I see them here all the time... And I always knew it was a Subaru... but then, I am a Subaru Fan Boy...

They are all over the place here, I see them every day and they are weird looking.

can't wait til the B9T comes out with the H6-3.6. :D

Crazy_pilot 12-18-2006 11:54 AM

There's one down the street from me a few houses. Actually, there's about 5 or 6 Subaru's within spitting distance of me. I kinda like the Tribeca. Maybe I'm just a little too enamoured with Subbies, but I find the B9 attractive. Plus the interior's neat. 3.6 coming huh? mmmmmmmm...

I have yet to see one in Gainesville. The dealer doesn't even have one. Haven't seen one on the interstate or in Jacksonville (my daughter's home). I think a redesign is in order.

They are everywhere here so I guess I am fortunate to find them attractive.

I've see one at least 3 times a week for the last six mos. Ugg not my taste. Wieghing close to 4000lbs and having less power then our SVXs, I have to say I'm not to impressed by it....GoD! it looks so Freeeeckin' weird....lol only Yuppies or Flatlanders drive em' anyway.

SSSVX 12-19-2006 09:51 PM

I see 'em alot in my town. After I see 'em a while, I don't think they look that bad. They have their attractive side. The interior is nice from them.

Manarius 12-19-2006 10:12 PM

I think they should have redesigned the Forester instead of designing the Tribeca. It's just not practical,

actually, the Benign Chewbacca has 20 more hp than an SVX.

Crazy_pilot 12-20-2006 09:11 AM

Ditto, the 3.0 H6 is good for 245-250. The B9 does need to loose some pounds though. I guess bloated is the best way to descibe how it looks to me, from the outside or sitting in it. It just feels like there's way more vehicle than there should be. I kinda feel that way with most SUV's though.
