Ryu, one of my japanese frens called Yuya...first time i showed him a teal pic of an SVX - he couldn't believe one and that car is from japan...:D:D when I showed him my teal svx, he was so impressed and "whoa........whoa....:D

Yeah, SVX is really really rare in Japan. The economy was growing and growing before SVX came out. People spent so much money. And when SVX came out, the economy suddenly went sooo bad. We called that "Bubble popped out(brew up?)" because the economy acted like that.
In Japan, there were some cars so called "Bubble cars" around that time, very gorgeous, expensive cars. Toyota Soarer(SC300)
Eunos(mazda) Cosmo, Mitsubishi GTO(3000GT)... and of course SVX.
Tragical ending for those expensive cars followed. Only very few people could afford to buy.. Unfortunately, those few people weren't so interested in SVX. I believe that there were(are) so many people who wanted to get SVX, but they couldn't pay the high price.

Having said that, when I went back to my home last winter for couple of weeks, I had a chance to see one SVX on the road around my parents place. Yeah, just one. Very rare.

I don't know how many young people in Japan know about SVX. They are rather into nice wagons and minivans.

We used Maya as the basis for all our content creation. Because it was so expandable, we plugged tons of our own tools into it. We even managed our resources in Maya with an in-house front-end we created for source safe. It was really, really slick stuff.

I remember now. The 'Alias' I was certified in was Power Animator. :)
