Life's in perspective
 

Well yesterday put my life into perspective. It was my birthday. I received 3 automatic happy birthdays from car clubs and one from my buddy I grow up with. Not a single one from my family. The future wife's entire family all wished me a happy birthday, but not a single member of mine. I find that slightly depressing, however I makes feel less guilty about perminitly moving out here and not moving back east when I get out of the military.:(

My parents are getting divorced and nobody from my dad's side of the family wished me a happy birthday either (my dad is the one we left because he was a horrible person). It sucks when family holds that kind of stuff against you - I sympathize with you in that regard.
