Lexol Leather Conditioner
I was looking for something cheaper and easier to use than Leatherique. Something I could use weekly if I wanted. I tried a few different kinds including the stuff from Meguiars and few others which seemed to not do anything other than look nice when applying.
I read up on the internet and most people had said Leatherique was the best, but in many of the discussions Lexol was the product they had compared it to. I found a bottle of Lexol at Autozone. It was only $10, not bad and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised when I used it. Definitely does a good job of softening the leather and gives the gray leather a nice finish. The application is much easier than the Leatherique because it just a normal wipe on buff off the excess, and the seats can be used again pretty much right away. I will use Leatherique a once or twice a year but for normal wash wax days the Lexol Cleaner and Lexol Conditioner will now be part of my routine. |
Re: Lexol Leather Conditioner
Frankly, I have been unimpressed by Leatherique. I checked out the Ferrari forums for people that are obsessed about their leather. Many there had switched to Leather Master. I gave it a try and thought it worked better. It really soaked into the leather instead of sitting on top like a greasy film. I have switched to it for now. It also is not cheap.

Re: Lexol Leather Conditioner
Interesting, which products did you use? Just the vital conditioner? Or the cleaner and conditioner?

Re: Lexol Leather Conditioner
I have been using the Gliptone Liquid Leather conditioner, originally suggested by SVXCESS, like it a lot!

Re: Lexol Leather Conditioner
I'm going to give Gliptone a try. Thanks for the recommendation. Any comments on all of their other products? Would like to find one that will clean the intake manifold. There are these black spots/stains that I can't get off. No corrosion otherwise.

Re: Lexol Leather Conditioner
Applied the Gliptone to the Yukon seats (all three rows), Volvo and SVX (leather trimmed L model) today. I like the results and, especially, the resultant smell of leather.
