anniversary edition SVX

so I just bought a 1993 anniversary edition SVX and I was told there is a plate some where on the car that will tell you what number it was off the line, granted this was from someone who has been working for subaru since like the 80s. can anyone tell me where i can find it on the car?

Anywhere you find the V.I.N. (vehicle Identification number) .
The plate on the drivers side behind the windshield glass, under the hood on the pass side firewall, the aluminum plate on the drivers side inner fender/shock tower under the hood, on your insurance and owners card.:)
you get the idea.
Congratulations on your very cool ride.

The production number is the last 4 numbers to the VIN.

And they should be less than 0301 (as there were 301 25th Anniversary Edition SVX's produced for the USA)

.

Welcome to the site. Please post your last 3 numbers of your VIN and the number of miles on it and I will put you on the list of 93 AE owners. :)

The thread which can be found here. :)

the last four on the vin are 1023 its has roughly 83K on it.

i got to drive it for the fist time last night, on windy mountain roads it was so much fun that car is mean, of course i could go too fast since it was dark rainy and i had no dash lights.

thanks for all the help!

To be fair, was that ever confirmed? The more VINs we collect, the more accurate it seems, since all the VINs end in three numbers less than 301. But nobody from Subaru ever actually confirmed that the numbers were sequential, did they?

I believe they did...

It makes sense though - my car is 1102 and there were ~1800 made that year (1995).

i actually got of the phone with my dad a few hours ago talking to him about the number off the line he said it was the last 5 numbers, now he's been working for subaru since the mid to late 80s. but i think with the anniversary edition its different although he did tell me he though there was a special plate on it. but he get a new car every like 30000 miles so he cant remember what car is what any more and has driven an SVX since like the early 90s when they are prototyping them.
